INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, ITS CONTROL METHOD, AND ITS CONTROL PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device which can improve user convenience when it transmits electronic data via a network.

SOLUTION: An information processing device includes: an image reading unit for reading a manuscript and obtaining image data; a display unit for displaying content information formed by description of a prescribed markup language; a communication unit able to communicate with a server device providing content information via a network; and a control unit for controlling the image reading unit, display unit, and communication unit. The control unit analyzes whether or not prescribed description is included in the description of the prescribed markup language forming content information when the content information received from the server device by the communication unit is displayed on the display unit, and controls activation of the image reading unit depending on the result of analysis.
