<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that obviates the need for restricting access from a host system. <P>SOLUTION: An optical disk device (10) according to a typical embodiment of the present invention includes plural functional blocks (16, 17, 18, 19), an interface section (20), a buffer memory (14), and a memory arbitration controller (15). The memory arbitration controller includes a first memory arbitration control unit (151) for arbitrating access requests from the plural functional blocks separately from access requests from a host system, and a second memory arbitration control unit (152) for arbitrating between the result of arbitration by the first memory arbitration control unit and the access requests from the host system. Allowing the optical disk device to handle the access requests from the host system without being bothered by the access requests from the functional blocks obviates the need for imposing restriction on the access from the host system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
