<p>For removal of root or stem residues from bulbous or root vegetables one or more rotating rollers extend over and press into a bed of elastic, compressible material, which can stand the free weight of bulbs resting on it without showing indentation. The bed and/or rollers can be driven so that they move in relation to each other whilst maintaining the indenting contact parallel to the bed and across the direction of the rollers. Specifically, near the rollers a scoop wheel is provided for moving bulbs or roots over the rollers.</p> |
