An LED drive circuit, a drive method, and a liquid crystal display device. The LED drive circuit comprises an LED lamp string (2), a power supply module (1) for supplying power to the LED lamp string (2) under the control of a power-on/off signal, an output capacitor (C1) connected to the LED lamp string (2) in parallel, and a discharging module (3) connected to the output capacitor (C1) in parallel and working when the power-on/off signal is at a low level. The discharging module (3) is started at an interval between a power-on period and a power-off period to discharge the output capacitor (C1), so as to solve the problem of the remaining surplus charges of the output capacitor (C1), so that the LED lamp string (2) is not turned on twice when powered on and the circuit loss is avoided.
