The method involves performing a local rest of a network device i.e. automation device (1) in a delivery state such that access to data stored on the reset automation device associated with other network devices (9, 10) is changed automatically. Access to the data stored on the reset automation device is provided though a server associated with the other network devices after successful rest of the automation device, where the automation device includes a configuration identifier that is updated upon local reset of the automation device. An independent claim is also included for a network device.
