<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication device and a travel support method which, when there is a possibility that a succeeding vehicle may collide with a self-vehicle from behind, performs predetermined control for preventing an accident with the succeeding vehicle and/or protecting a driver of the self-vehicle on the basis of a current position of the self-vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile communication device includes: a communication unit which is provided in a moving body and receives information including information on a sensing area detected by a sensor; and a control unit which acquires a current position and travel speed of the moving body and performs predetermined control when the current position of the moving body is located on this side of the sensing area in a traveling direction of the moving body and the travel speed of the moving body is equal to or less than a predetermined speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
