<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information processing device excellent in convenience and capable of cooperating with a television receiver. <P>SOLUTION: A portable information processing device 1 has a touch panel 2 and a control part 6. The control part 6 has a determination part 61 and a transmission control part 62. The determination part 61 determines whether or not a television tuner is connected to the portable information processing device 1. When the determination part 61 determines that the television tuner is connected, the transmission control part 62 controls the television tuner to select a channel by transmitting to the television tuner channel selection information for selecting a television broadcast corresponding to an operation by a user without transmitting the channel selection information to the outside.
