<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code reader which allows reduction of load of identification processing of a discount label, and a sales data processor and a program. <P>SOLUTION: The code reader has imaging means, commodity information reading means, image detection means, service information reading-in means, and information output means. The imaging means takes an image. The commodity information reading means reads commodity information from a code symbol. The image detection means refers to a storage part which stores service information and each of pattern images to be used for pattern identification of each service display in association with each other, detects an image matching each pattern image by performing pattern identification from the image taken by the imaging means. The service information reading-in means reads in service information corresponding to the pattern image matching the image detected by the image detection means.
