Disclosed are a method and system for noise reduction, a smart control method and device, and a communication device. The smart control method comprises: when no voice signal output is detected from a called party of the communication device, receiving an ambient noise signal from a reference microphone arranged away from a human ear and a monitor signal from a monitoring microphone arranged in proximity to the human ear; performing a performance analysis on the ambient noise signal and the monitor signal received, thereby estimating a noise reduction performance curve that has been subjected to a feedforward active noise reduction processing; and adjusting a control circuit parameter in the feedforward active noise reduction processing on the basis of the noise reduction performance curve and of a predetermined noise reduction performance curve, thereby allowing the difference between the estimated noise reduction performance curve and the predetermined noise reduction curve to fall within a predetermined range. Employment of the present invention allows for effectively improved noise reduction stability in the communication device, thus preventing the presence of inconsistency in the noise reduction performance due to the communication device being coupled to the human ear during use.
