The bearing assembly has a bearing (3), particularly a roller bearing with a bearing ring (4). A mechanical seal (6) is provided with a slid ring (7) that forms a sealing gap in the mechanical seal with a surface of the bearing ring, particularly with a front face(8) of the bearing ring. The slid ring is covered only in the end face. A support ring (11) that covers a storage space (10) is arranged between the slid ring and a shaft. A circumferential sealing element (12), particularly an elastically deformable sealing ring is arranged between the support ring and the slid ring.
