PURPOSE: A system for recommending a blog based on the similarity of a subscription community and a method thereof are provided to easily extract a blog similar to interests of a user by predicting interest similarity between blogs by using a category of a community service to which bloggers subscribe. CONSTITUTION: A subscription rate calculating unit(210) calculates a service subscription rate of a blogger for a community service according to each community service category. A similarity calculating unit(220) calculates community similarity by comparing service subscription rates of a target blogger and other bloggers with each other. A recommending unit(230) recommends blogs of other bloggers to a user.
