PURPOSE: A temperature measuring device and method are provided to reduce the influence of the flow of molten steel and prevent thermal damage to a thermocouple by enclosing other parts in a thermocouple protective tube and a heat-resistant block except for a lower part thereof. CONSTITUTION: A temperature measuring device comprises a thermocouple, a thermocouple protective tube(130), a heat-resistant block(200), a thermal diffusion prevention plate(300), and a support frame(400). The thermocouple senses temperature changes of molten steel and is inserted into the thermocouple protective tube. The thermocouple protective tube is inserted into the heat-resistant block, with the lower part thereof protruding outside. The heat-resistant block comprises a heat-resistant block body(210) and a connection pipe(220). The thermal diffusion prevention plate is separately installed above the heat-resistant block. The support frame transfers and supports the heat-resistant block so that the lower part of the thermocouple protective tube is dipped in molten steel. |
