A plurality of semi-conductor elements 3/5, 3/6 &c. are mounted between contact arms such as 3, 4, 5, 6 of two metal frets 1, 2 and are electrically connected to the respective arms, e.g. by soldering. The assembly is then encapsulated in insulating material and the arms 3-6 &c. are severed from the base portions 11, 12 of the frets 1, 2. The encapsulating material is then itself severed, e.g. along lines of weakness, to provide a plurality of completed devices. In the embodiment shown each device comprises a rectifier bridge including four PN- junction diodes 3/5, 3/6, 4/5, 4/6. |
