[Also in Division C7] Conductive strips 32a, 34a forming a crossbar electrode system on the walls 36, 38 of a plasma display panel are coated with phosphor 44 by cataphoresis (see Division C7). The conductors 32a, 34a are deposited by heating the members 36, 38 to a temperature of 425‹ C. and spraying a solution of tin chloride and methanol doped with antimony-trichloride through a mask in the presence of water vapour to form SnO 2 . Alternative materials are indium oxide or titanium oxide. Following the deposition of one or more, e.g. green, blue, and red, phosphors by cataphoresis on one or both electrode groups the walls are separated by spacers 72, 74 and the cell completed by an insulating wall 42, e.g. of epoxy resin. Evacuation and filling with a 90% neon 10% nitrogen mixture at a pressure of 150 torr. is then effected through a hole drilled in one of the walls.</p>
