<p>Colouring material/polymer mixer. Device for attachment to or forming part of the end of a compression cylinder of a screw extruder, through which the material flows under pressure, has a core fitted in a sleeve in such a way that there remains radial play between them. It also has a number of freely moving rollers, each arranged in a channel formed in the inner surface of the sleeve or the outer surface of the core, so that core and sleeve can rotate relative to each other, causing the rollers to rotate about their centre lines in the channels when material passes through the mixer. Means are provided for preventing the rollers from being drawn from the channels by the flow.</p> |
