<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly perform viewing and listening without break off of video images to sound when a user perform the viewing and listening by switching hierarchies in a digital broadcast receiver. <P>SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver includes: a hierarchy buffer part which temporarily stores video-sound signals of the respective hierarchies; a hierarchy decoding part which decodes the video-sound signals of the respective hierarchies; an output selection part which selects the video images-sound of the respective hierarchies; a hierarchy scene detection part which detects timing of scene variation of the respective hierarchies; and an output control part which switches selection of the output selection part. Then, the output control part calculates delay time of output timing of the video images-sound of the respective hierarchies to other hierarchies based on scene detection signals of the respective hierarchies from the hierarchy scene detection part and time information in scene detection, and sets a buffer part of a hierarchy which is not delayed so as to increase a buffer amount equivalent to the calculated delay time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
