PURPOSE: A plant with an improved yield and a method for producing the same are provided to regulate the expression of a nucleic acid encoding LEJ1(Loss of timing of ET and JA biosynthesis 1) polypeptide, ExbB polypeptide, NMPRT(nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase) polypeptide, AP2-26-like polypeptide, or HD8-like polypeptide in a plant. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing a transgenic plant with an improved yield comprises the following steps: a step of transducing a nucleic acid encoding NMPRT into a plant cell or a plant, and expressing the nucleic acid; and a step of culturing the plant cell or the plant. NMPRT contains a domain with InterPro accession IPR016471.
