<p>Basic azo dyes, free of sulphonic and carboxylic acid gps., are of general formula: (where A is benzene or naphthalene series residue; R3 and R4 are opt. substituted or opt. cyclised lower alkyl gps., or aralkyl gps.; R1 and R2 are alkyl or aralkyl gps; Y is hydrogen or halogen atom, trifluoromethyl, alkyl, alkoxy, nitro or acylamino gp; n is 1 or 2; X is an anion). They are used for dyeing and printing fanned cellulosic fibres, silk, leather or synthetic fibres, e.g. polyamides or acid-modified polyesters, but esp. fibres containing polyacrylonitrile or polyvinylidene cyanide.</p> |
