<p>Thermoplastic material is deposited on a moving carrier, e.g. a belt or rotating cylinder, where it receives a perforated structure and is then stripped as a continuous band. The material in the form of a powder, dry state, or dispersion is deposited to the required design by a typographic or lithographic process in known manner, by electrostatic transfer, or by filling cavities in the carrier surface with the powder. Excess is removed, e.g. by a scraper, and the powder fused before cooling and stripping. The semi finished product may be transferred to a second carrier during the process. The products can be used as sieve fabric for the cellulose and paper industry, for packaging, as fencing, or for plastic matting.</p> |
