<p>Surrounding boundary layer, capable of solidifying, is formed by adding, during or after preparation of dispersion, surface active cpds. which contain at least one silyl group with at least one hydrolysable group linked to Si atom, as end-group; and (a) hydrolysing hydrolysable groups if more than one hydrolysable group is attached to the same Si atom, and condensing the silanols formed or (b) adding at least equimolar amounts of silane R1ySiR24-y2 (where R1 is hydrolysable group such as 1-4 alkoxy, R is hydrocarbon group, such as methyl, and y is 3 or 4), calc. on hydrolysable group, if only one, but if necessary more than one hydrolysable groups are attached to same Si atom, hydrolysing and condensing.</p> |
