<p>Preparation of heat hardening moulding materials from diepoxides and hardeners and if desired, fillers and accelerators, in which a mixture is prepared by known techniques of:- (a) diepoxides of bis cyclohexene dicarboximides and/or dicarboxyesteramides of general formula: where R1 is selected from -CnH2n- where n = 3-12, 2.4.4-trimethylhexamethylene and/or groups from Figs. (II) to (VI) and R2 and R3 are the same or different and are selected from Figs. (VII) to (IX) in which R4 to R11 are H, halogen, CnH2n +1 (m = 1-6), or heptane- or octane-carboxylicmethyl ester R12 is either absent or is 0OCH2- (b) compounds or mixtures thereof producing hardening on heating, e.g. acid anhydrides, optionally with accelerators and/or aromatic polyamines, and/or BF3 complexes. A typical product results from a di-imide of tetrahydrophthalic acid and the epoxide from bis-phenol-A and epichloridin.</p> |
