A wrapper for sterile surgical equipment, e.g. gloves is in the form of a twin folder, each unit of which comprises two main panels 12 having a side extension 16a, 16b and a " dispensing " flap 17 extending across both the panels. An article support 21 over which the article 25 may be placed extends from the lower edge of one panel 12. In each unit, the article is placed on the support which is folded on to the adjacent panel 12 and the other panel 12 is folded over it, extension 16a, 16b being folded back on to the outer panel 12 and the doubled flap 17 folded down. The extensions 16a, 16b of each unit are thus face to face. Finally, the units are folded on to each other, the whole being sealed in an envelope and sterilized. In opening, the package is removed from the envelope, the units unfolded and extensions 16a and 16b raised, unfolding the panels 12 and flaps 17, the latter providing a sterile margin across which the contained article may be spilled on to a sterile working area. |
