PURPOSE: A control system and method of a hybrid vehicle is provided to prevent impacts by minimizing torque fluctuations when a hybrid control unit is reset, thereby improving durability and stability of shift quality. CONSTITUTION: A control system of a hybrid vehicle comprises a power source fault detection part, a hybrid control unit, and a clutch controller. The power source fault detection part monitors the power source of the system. The power source fault detection part provides information concerning power source defectiveness to the hybrid control unit. The hybrid control unit disencumbers an engine clutch before entering a power latch. The hybrid controller stabilizes the input torque of a transmission by minimally controlling transmission line pressure. |
