PURPOSE: A method for receiving streaming data and an apparatus therefor are provided to successively reproduce a video by receiving streaming data through one of heterogeneous networks. CONSTITUTION: A data transceiver(112) receives content data from an external server through a communication network by connecting one or more communication networks. The data transceiver confirms buffering quantity by storing the received content data in a receiving buffer. When the confirmed buffering quantity is greater than a first reference value in a state connecting to the first communication network, the data transceiver converts a connecting network into a second communication network.
