A wall covering comprises a textile fabric 1 bonded to a layer 2 of plastics foam, the exposed surface of the plastics foam layer being formed with a relief pattern comprising alternate hollows 5 and compressible projections 4. The hollows and projections may be substantially spherical concave and convex cups respectively as shown. Alternatively they are in the form of a chequered pattern, or in the form of wavy bands or in the form of a honeycomb pattern. The textile fabric is preferably of a loose texture so as not to impair the soundproofing properties of the foam layer and to be air-permeable. The foam layer is preferably 5 to 20 mm. thick. |
