Starch syrup with mainly linear-chained oligo-and polysaccharides. Produced by subjecting either (a) high-molecular straight-chain amylostarch or starchamylose or (b) a lino-molecular amylose obtained by decomposition of a gelatinous or liquefied starch with an alpha-1,6-glucosidase, to the action of an (in)organic acid or an amylase, pref. alpha-or beta-amylase, glucoamylase and/or isomerase.
