The article (1) has a disk (2) and a mask (3), where machine-readable information fields (12) are placed on the disk and the mask and associated with selectable data (13). A unique identifier intended to be associated with a selected data is placed on the disk and the mask, where the mask selectively exposes only one of the machine-readable information fields in association with a selected data item. The mask includes a window (37) to expose one of the information fields provided on the disk, where the mask and the disk are movable relative to each other. An independent claim is also included for a system for implementing a prepaid article.
