<p>To inhibit the loosening of adjacent nuts or bolts (21, 22) a device (10) is mounted thereto which comprises a pair of sockets (11, 12) lying in a common plane and each formed in one piece, e.g. of polypropylene, with an intermediate connector strap (14) which permanently connects the sockets (11, 12) to each other. The strap (14) consists of a substantially flat strip of material configured in a curving U or V shape but also being twisted so as to provide respective connecting sections linking to the respective sockets (11, 12), which sections extend generally in the same plane as the sockets, but also providing at a location (A) intermediate the two sockets (11, 12) a flexible section which lies in a plane that is generally perpendicular to the plane of the sockets (11, 12). The connector strap (14) therefore has sufficient flexibility to allow the sockets (11, 12) of the device (10) to be fitted onto adjacent nuts (21, 22) which have their centres spaced apart by different distances.</p> |
