Transfer of knitting from a knitting machine - to a looping machine

The knitting is transferred from the knitting machine or comb on to a carrier which comprises variably spaced holders for the individual stitches. The carrier is taken to the needles of a looping machine, where the stich holders are pushed over the individual needles and removed, so that the stitches transfer to the needles.
