Ion-exchange water-softener or demineraliser. Cover of the equipment body carries the valve gear for the cycle of periodic in-situ regeneration, involving taking out of service, withdrawing all the water, introducing the regeneration product, flushing and returning to service. The rim of the cover is sealed against the upper, collar of the body of the upwards pressure of the water compressing flexible joints between the cylindrical surfaces in contact. Spec. the regeneration product inlet may be closed by a vertical-acting flexible conical seat float valve. |
