The invention provides, in part, compounds that are capable of inhibiting a glycosyltransferase, such as a uridine diphospho-N-acetylglucosamine:polypeptide ß N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase, an alternative N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase, an N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase, a fucosyltransferase, a xylotransferase or a sialyltransferase. The invention also provides methods for using the compounds.
