New parthenocarpic plants with modified expression of auxin response factors and the microRNAs inducing said modified expression

The present invention is related to a flowering plant expressing a DNA sequence coding for a microRNA, wherein the microRNA is specific to members of the Auxin-Reponse Factor (ARF) gene family and decreases the expression level of said ARFs when expressed. In particular said microRNA is specific of a functional equivalent of ARF2, ARF3, ARF4, ARF7, ARF10 or ARF17 from Solanum lycopersicum. The invention is also related to the specific microRNA, and to a method for producing a parthenocarpic flowering plant.
