In a mine face conveyer, each scraper blade 16 is secured to a chain 14 by a pair of spaced walls 17 forming a recess for a link 22 of the chain, a locating wall 21 intermediate said walls 17 and extending through said link, and a pin 19 located in apertures 18 to secure said link within the recess.
