<p>Device comprises a cold gas cooling machine with at least one compression chamber of variable volume and higher average temp., and at least one expansion chamber of variable volume and lower average temperature. The chambers are inter-connected and the connection houses a regenerator. The expansion chamber has an inlet and an outlet for the operating medium. The outlet is connected via a counter-flow heat exchanger to the inlet side of a first expansion device, in which the medium expands to a pressure equal to or higher than the minimum pressure occurring inthe cold gas cool machine. The device also has a second expansion device, whose inlet is also connected to the outlet side of the first expansion device, whilst the outlet side terminates in a liquid collecting reservoir in such a manner that such a quantity of medium flows to the second expansion device, that, after the second expansion device, nearly all gas is liquid.</p> |
