PURPOSE: A diagnostic and therapeutic agent for cancer with a tumor stem cell property is provided to measure the expression level of aldehyde dehydrogenase. CONSTITUTION: A diagnostic and therapeutic agent for cancer with a tumor stem cell property contains a thiocarbamate compound, especially disulfiram as an active ingredient. The agent additionally contains an anticancer agent. The anticancer agent is selected from a group consisting of an alkylating agent, an anti-metabolic drug, an enzyme, hormone, an immunotherapeutic agent, and an antagonist to genetic mutation.
