PURPOSE: A method for receiving vehicle information by using a portable terminal is provided to enable an insurance company to quickly handling vehicle accidents or malfunction by collecting vehicle accident information or vehicle malfunction information and delivering the information to the company through the portable terminal of a driver. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle information collector receives an impact value from an impact sensor(S303). The vehicle information collector collects vehicle accident information(S305). The vehicle information collector delivers the vehicle accident information to a portable terminal(S306). The portable terminal activates a smart driving application(S307). The portable terminal delivers driver information and the vehicle accident information to an insurance company server(S309).
