PURPOSE: A method for extracting and providing an item with an annotation on an e-book and a system thereof are provided to easily use the content of the e-book in various aspects by automatically extracting the item with annotations of a user. CONSTITUTION: A content management module(820) provides digital content to a user terminal. An annotation management module(830) recognizes an object selected from the digital content, and generates and stores annotation data generated by applying an annotation to the object according to a request of a user. The annotation management module recognizes the object through touch input to a touch sensing display, and calculates count information related to the annotation by the digital content based on the annotation data.
