PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to thin the liquid crystal display device by forming top light shielding tape on the same plane as an optical sheet. CONSTITUTION: A light source(29a) is placed on a bottom cover(50). A main support(30) is placed along the border of the light source. A liquid crystal panel(10) is placed on a protruding area of the main support. An optical sheet(21) is placed between the liquid crystal panel and the light source. Bottom light shielding tape(28) is placed between protruding portions(22) of the optical sheet and the protruding portions. Top light shielding tape(27) is placed between the liquid crystal panel and the protruding portions. |
