PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for displaying rear images of vehicles are provided to prevent car accidents because drivers effectively realize information on the distance to vehicles in the rear. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus and method for displaying rear images of vehicles comprises at least two cameras, a controller(150), and a display unit(160). The cameras are installed in the vehicles and film rear images. The controller generates a pre-set background image using a moving image interface program. The controller image-processes the rear images, and outputs the information on the vehicles in the rear on the background image. The display unit displays the information on the vehicles in the rear outputted from the controller. |
