Relief effects produced on polyester textiles To avoid disagreeable hardening to the touch of polyester fibres in which a relief effect has been produced by printing with a paste containing a swelling agent that irreversibly contracts the article when vaporised under pressure, 16-600 % wt. of a solvent (under vaporisation conditions) for the swelling agent is added. Swelling agent is preferably, p -phenylphenol or beta-naphthol, representing 50-300 g/kg paste. Solvent is preferably glycerine, urea or sorbitol, in quantity similar to the swelling agent.
|
