PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing carbonization of a wiper of a hot strip mill is provided to reduce the falling amount of cooling water drops. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for preventing carbonization of a wiper of a hot strip mill comprises a fitting plate(11) and a plurality of spraying nozzles(13). The fitting plate is combined with a lower-part of the wiper. The fitting plate has a cooling water hole(12) through which the cooling water flows. The spraying nozzle is installed in the leading end of the fitting plate. The spraying nozzle sprays the cooling water, flowing through the cooling water hole, to the lower part of wiper as fog type. A plurality of nozzles is formed in the spraying nozzle. |
