PURPOSE: A beam-forming design device in multi-input and single-output and a method thereof are provided to improve a VSINR(Virtual Signal-to-Interference and Noise Ratio) based on a single user detection method. CONSTITUTION: A voltage calculation unit(210) calculates a diagonal matrix, desired signal voltages, and noise voltages in a receiver by using a weighted transmission ratio and VSINR for a user having a transmitter and the receiver. Coefficient calculation unit(120) calculates a plurality of weighted coefficients using the diagonal matrix calculated by the voltage calculation unit. A beam-forming calculation unit(130) calculates a beam-forming vector of the transmitter using the weighted coefficients calculated by the coefficient calculation unit. The power calculation unit calculates the diagonal matrix in the receiver using the desired signal voltage and the noise voltage in the receiver.
