A method for determination of corrosion rate of austenitic steels and alloys is in fact that reference samples of steel material are subjected to magnetization by placement of those in permanent magnetic field, with measurement of magnetic parameter, with determination of dependence between corrosion rate and magnetic parameter, then the test samples made of steel materials undergo magnetization as well, with determination of magnetic parameter, and by dependence of magnetic parameter on corrosion rate for reference samples obtained before a corrosion rate of test samples is determined. Paramagnetic specific magnetic susceptibility of steel material is measured as magnetic parameter. |
