PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a picture plate stone is provided to spread a surface treating agent in a paste state on the surface of basalt, thereby omitting a washing process, and reducing a processing time for the production. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a picture plate stone includes: a step(S10) of cutting a basalt plate stone into a cubic plate; a step(S20) of spreading a surface treating agent in a paste state formed by mixing powder glaze with oil on the surface of the cut basalt plate stone so that the surface flatness of the basalt plate stone is uniform; a step(S30) of spraying a mixture formed by mixing water, oil, and a white glaze at a certain ratio on the spread surface treating agent with an air gun, and drying the mixture so that a white foundation layer can be formed; a step(S40) of adhering a ceramic-decal film having a pattern or a design to the foundation layer; and a step(S50) of heating the basalt plate stone at a temperature of 800 to 1000°C for two and a half to three hours so that the pattern or the design on the ceramic-decal film can be integrally plasticized on the foundation layer.
