An apparatus for receiving broadcasting, a method for transceiving broadcasting program information, and a data structure for transmitting the broadcasting program information are provided to insert the summary information of a broadcasting program into EPG information to support preview information, so that a viewer can select easily the broadcasting program. A method for transmitting broadcasting program information comprises the following steps of: generating preview information having the predetermined contents of a broadcasting program(S121); granting an identifier to the preview information; converting the preview information into a binary format(S122); and including the preview information into an EPG(Electronic Program Guide) and transmitting the EPG(S123,S124). |
