TRANSLATION APPARATAS AND METHOD FOR USING TRANSLATION TREE STRUCTURE IN A PORTABLE TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A translation device using a translation tree structure of a portable terminal and a method thereof are provided to confirm the accuracy of translation by displaying meanings and speech parts of homonym with a translated sentence. CONSTITUTION: An input unit of a first portable terminal receives a first language from a user who uses the first language. A translation engine(102) translates the first language into a second language by using a database stored in the first portable terminal. An output unit(108) displays the second language through a tree structure, and a selection unit selects one word of the second language which is displayed as a translation tree structure. A communication module(109) transmits the selected second language to a second portable terminal which uses the second language. The database is a user database stored in the first portable terminal or a common database received from the server.
