PURPOSE: A data transmission and reception management device of a portable terminal and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to watch selected data without kinds of data in a history list of data transmission and reception in a portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A memory(130) stores identification information for displaying data selected from a history list of data transmission and reception. A control unit(110) stores the identification information for the transmitted and received data. The control unit displays original data of the selected data through the identification information of the data selected from the history list of the data transmission and reception. The identification information includes the address information of the data and the information of an application.
