PURPOSE: Data play device and method are provided to select desired data by automatically playing received data via wired and wireless communication network. CONSTITUTION: A reception unit(110) receives multimedia data via wire and wireless communication network. A judgment unit(130) judges whether an originating terminal transmitting multimedia data or identification information of an originator is already registered or not. A control unit(150) adds multimedia data to a display list. The control unit synthesizes a text to an image according to a user's configuration.
