FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of trapping arsenic and desulphurising a hydrocarbon fraction containing olefins, sulphur and arsenic in a fixed bed, where the method involves a step a) for bringing the trapping mass into contact with said hydrocarbon fraction in the presence of hydrogen, said trapping mass containing: molybdenum in sulphonated form and nickel in sulphonated form; at least one porous support selected from a group comprising aluminium oxides, silicon dioxide, mixed silicon and aluminium oxides, titanium oxides, magnesium oxides, wherein content of nickel, expressed in % nickel oxide, on the trapping mass before sulphonation is in the range of 10-28 wt %, content of molybdenum, expressed in % molybdenum oxide, on the trapping mass before sulphonation is in the range of 0.3-2.1 wt %; and a step b) where the effluent from step a) is brought into contact with a selective hydrodesulphurisation catalyst.EFFECT: achieving a trade-off between trapping arsenic, activity in hydrodesulphurisation and selectivity in hydrodesulphurisation/hydrogenation of olefins.9 cl, 4 tbl, 4 ex |
