PURPOSE: A light emitting device is provided to prevent a short circuit between a light emitting structure and a first electrode by using a functional layer formed on a first area of a semiconductor layer. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting structure(120) includes a first semiconductor layer(122), a second semiconductor layer(124), and an active layer(126). The semiconductor layer includes first and second areas. A functional layer(150) is arranged in the first area and the side of the light emitting structure. A first electrode(130) overlaps a part of the functional layer. A second electrode(140) is arranged on the light emitting structure. |
